Healthy Resistance - an approach to training

My name is Sean Phillips and I am a certified personal trainer, a professional engineer, a dad and a husband.

After many years working in technology and robotics, I rediscovered my passion for fitness. I was your typical professional 30 something - ambitiously working towards goals, while balancing this with family life. But, I wasn’t making time for my health.

I Started to make some non-negotiable time for myself to exercise. Slowly over a few years, I began to regain my fitness. At first, it was a reentry into martial arts that got me going, then it was bodyweight training and now I enjoy bodybuilding style resistance training. At 42, I’m the most fit I’ve ever been.

Resistance training, done the right way, is healthy. It increases strength, muscular endurance, mobility and mental health. Combined with the right amount of cardiovascular training, it can help you improve your fitness and look they way you want.
